We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Quantitative Hydrogeologist to join our team in Bedford, New Hampshire or Boston, Massachusetts. The Quantitative Hydrogeologist will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with senior staff and project Principals, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions-What You Will Do

  • Perform environmental investigations at sites with soil, groundwater, and soil vapor contamination.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of field data.
  • Complete quantitative hydrogeological analysis and data interpretation including analytical and numerical groundwater and contaminant fate and transport modeling.
  • Assist project managers in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs.
  • Assist with design and implementation of remediation systems, including oversight of site cleanups.
  • Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and bid documents.
  • Interpret and analyze field and laboratory data.
  • Engage in industrial compliance projects.

Competencies-What We Are Looking For

  • Interested candidates should have 0-5 years relevant experience and an MS Degree in Hydrogeology. Preference for analytical and numerical modeling training and/or experience including familiarity with MODFLOW using GW Vistas software.
  • Be able to analyze test data from pumping tests and slug tests with knowledge of analysis methods for confined, unconfined, leaky, and fractured aquifers.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS is desired.
  • Be working toward Professional Licensure
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong record of academic achievement or professional experience in relevant areas such as quantitative hydrogeological analysis and interpretation, contaminated site investigations, remediation, and/or preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills combined with the flexibility to work with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well as a team member, with a collaborative communication style.

Position Type-What You Should Know

  • Full-time position.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexible daily hours.
  • Location will be in our Bedford, NH or Boston, MA office with projects located throughout New England and the Northeastern U.S.
